There are people on street corners on the Olympic Peninsula carrying signs proudly proclaiming “Masks are useless” and “Take off your mask we want to see your smile.”

They are the same kind of people on social media posts making the same claims.

I actually stopped one day and asked the sign guy for his peer-reviewed scientific evidence. He yelled back “doctors say masks are useless.”

I asked for a list of doctors and he did not offer any names and in fact, retreated into conspiracy theory flights of nonsense!

I have discovered that these are the very same people who claim God will protect them from the virus, so there is no need for a mask or to get the vaccine. And when they are pressed and questioned, I discover that they are the same people who require the right to carry a gun in public.

Now the question is if their God will protect them from a deadly virus and there is no need for a mask or vaccine to go out in public, why will their God not protect them and they have to have a gun in public?

Their “logic” makes absolutely no sense! Or, their “God” seems to be not so all-powerful as they claim.

Before you slam me as a “Godless heathen,” I was raised in a Southern Baptist Evangelical Church, but also believe in science!
