Linda Marie Moncada Hewitson, 70, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Born on August 28, 1954, in Los Angeles, California, she spent the last three and a half years of her life in Port Townsend, WA, with her daughter, Angela Hewitson.
Linda and her late husband, Anthony Hewitson, owned and operated Hewitson Engineering, Inc. for 23 years. She was known for her warm humor, love of dance, passion for blues music, and remarkable green thumb. She was often seen walking her beloved yellow Labrador, Cooper, who passed just nine days before her.
An avid deep-sea fisher, Linda spent countless days in Baja, Mexico, chasing the thrill of the open water. A true adventurer, she traveled to remote jungles across the world, embracing the beauty and diversity of nature. In Port Townsend, she found a kindred spirit in the town’s blue-collar community, celebrating the grit, craftsmanship, and camaraderie that defined it.
She was an active member of the Society of Manufacturers, the International Palm Society, and the RAMS football team booster club.
Linda is survived by her son, Rick Hewitson; her daughter, Angela Hewitson; and her granddaughter, Scarlett.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Murrieta, California. In honor of Linda’s deep love for animals, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary in memory of Cooper at fallbrookanimalsanctuary.org/donate.
