I am appalled to learn of the verbal mistreatment of people living in my neighborhood, Cape George.

The victims of abuse are artists. As far as I know, their only crime is: looking different.

They are not rowdy or noisy or rule-breakers. They did hold a one-week workshop that involved parking extra cars in their lot which, for some reason, a few people may have found upsetting. It didn’t bother me.

I think most of my neighbors would also be appalled to learn of the hate speech directed, by a very few, at other neighbors.

Generally Cape George is a warm, welcoming, and enlightened place. Sadly, the victims no longer feel comfortable here, and are planning to move.

I have a better solution. Why don’t the judgmental, Puritanical, uncivil people move away and leave the rest of us to live in peace, harmony, and respect for each other.
