Kenneth Biles Davenny was born on Nov. 18, 1932 to Amy Louella (Aster) Biles and Kenneth Oscar Biles.

He attended Roosevelt High School and was active in the drama program. He especially enjoyed singing in the music program as a tenor. He met and later in life married Kristine Alice Hansen. Ken received an offer of scholarship from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut receiving his undergraduate degree. 

Following college, he chose to enlist in the Regular Army, Quartermaster Corps and spent a full tour in Korea. Ken continued his education receiving a master’s from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania. He enjoyed courses in investments and various marketing classes which shaped his career direction. 

Ken’s professional career began working for RCA’s defense division in Camden, New Jersey. He was proud of his career accomplishments while at Magnavox, Phillips, and Raytheon. These took him to Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and Torrance, California where he was Manager of Business Development for Navigation.

Ken retired from the workforce in 1994 and moved to Port Townsend. He built the house that he had dreamed of and designed and married his high school sweetheart, Kris. They lovingly shared this home for more than 25 years. Ken was active in the Port Townsend Presbyterian Church. He sang in the choir, served on Session three terms, was an active Stephan Minister for 25 years and was an Assistant Chaplain at Jefferson Healthcare. He served as treasurer for the church for 17 years.

Ken passed away on Jan. 24, 2021. His parents and brother preceded him in death. He left an adoring wife, Kris; many children including Yvette (Harry) Antoniou, Candy (Tim) Clark, Bob (Kathy) Akey, Karen Akey, Scott Davenny, and Susan Davenny; and three grandchildren. 

A service will be planned sometime in the future.
