The Jefferson Transit Authority Board has unanimously agreed to buy four new bus shelters.
The shelters will cost approximately $42,900.
The Jefferson Transit Authority Board met June 21. After receiving a quote from manufacturing company Brasco International for the new shelters, the board voted in favor of moving forward with the purchase.
Due to the shelters costing more than $25,000, it exceeded Interim General Manager Nicole Gauthier’s delegated purchasing authority, requiring authorization from the board.
