The Jefferson Land Trust’s annual conservation breakfast is just around the corner, with the online event featuring esteemed environmental advocate, author, and philosopher Kathleen Dean Moore.
The event is set from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 16, and interested parties can get details and reserve their seats at the virtual breakfast table at act.saveland.org/event/conservation-breakfast-2023/e443001.
This year’s program, titled “First, fall in Love: What it Means to Love a Place” will be presented by Moore as she shares her insights on responding to the moral urgency of climate change by transforming one’s love of natural places and ecosystems into environmental action.
Moore will also explore and discuss the complexities of what it means to love a place amidst the destruction caused by development, decimation, and other causes.
