The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 253 calls for service between Saturday, June 18 and Friday, June 24. Below are selected reports.
At 1:47 p.m. Saturday, June 18 in Olympic National Park, a caller at Kalaloch Lodge said a man was making threats and harassing an employee.
The man demanded to speak with his wife, an employee at the lodge. The woman was told her husband was going to see her children.
The woman said there was a protection order preventing him from having any contact.
The man was stopped by Clallam County deputies in Forks and arrested for violation of a protection order and taken to jail.
At 6:37 p.m. Sunday, June 19 in Quilcene, authorities received a third-hand report from a resident, who had received non-specific threats that his house was going to be vandalized because of staffing changes that had been made at work.
Additional patrols were requested.
At 7:57 p.m. Sunday, June 19 in Port Ludlow, a resident reported receiving threatening text messages.
A deputy contacted the caller and discovered the person was having issues with a business partner, and money was missing from a joint account.
The caller also wanted law enforcement to check the welfare of his grandmother. A deputy contacted her and she was fine.
