The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 230 calls for service between Saturday, June 4 and Friday, June 10. Below are selected reports.
At 12:26 p.m. Saturday, June 4 in Forks, a possible sexual assault was reported at the Olympic Corrections Center.
A deputy spoke to the victim, who denied that an assault had occurred.
At 8:35 p.m. Saturday, June 4 in Port Townsend, a 20-year-old man was cited for minor possession of alcohol.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle and the strong smell of alcohol came from inside the vehicle. A passenger in the back seat was underage and admitted having consumed alcohol.
The person had a prior history of alcohol and drug violations.
The passenger was cited and advised not to drink until he was of legal age.
At 10:26 p.m. Saturday, June 4 in Port Townsend, two students at the high school prom were caught with alcohol.
The students were both 18. The male teen left before law enforcement arrived, the female teen was found with vodka in her possession.
A deputy destroyed the alcohol and took the teen home to her parents.
