The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 355 calls for service between Friday, Feb. 24 and Friday, March 3.

At 12:24 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, a man called 911 to say he was lost and stuck in a ditch.

The man said he had turned onto Spencer Creek Road but had gotten stuck in the snow.

He refused to stay with the vehicle and told a dispatcher he was going to keep walking. He also said he locked his keys in the car.

A search-and-rescue effort was mobilized.

Deputies eventually found the man on Spencer Creek Road.

His Honda Accord was also located. It had bald tires and was high-centered in the ditch.

A deputy discovered the man had a suspended license and non-extraditable warrants for his arrest.

The man was given a courtesy ride to the Brinnon store.

At 7:17 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 in Port Townsend, a security guard reported seeing someone near the paper mill trying to break into a vehicle, then run away up the hills.

The security called back to say police response was not necessary because the person seen earlier was the owner of the vehicle.

At 10:14 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 in Quilcene, a resident reported ongoing verbal harassment.

A protection order had not yet been served.

A deputy responded and served the court order.
