The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 230 calls for service between Saturday, July 2 and Friday, July 8. Below are selected reports.

At 9:48 p.m. Friday, July 8 in Port Ludlow, a deputy reported littering on Thorndyke Road.

A black arm chair and a couch had been dumped. A county public works crew was notified.

At 1:17 p.m. Friday, July 8 in Port Ludlow, a resident reported a possible fraud. They received a call about winning the lottery.

A deputy tried to contact the resident two times without luck.

At 2:35 p.m. Friday, July 8 in Port Ludlow, a man said his ex-wife tried to get money from his bank account, but it was not a joint account.

He had been notified by the bank about her attempt.

The man said he didn’t really believe she was actually trying to take out funds, but wanted to see how much money he has in the bank so she can challenge the settlement in their divorce and the amount of the payments she must make to him.

He said she may also be trying to get information about his boat.

The woman does not live in Jefferson County. The man said he would get information on her location from one of her children and share it with authorities.
