The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 355 calls for service between Friday, Feb. 24 and Friday, March 3.
At 9:53 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 in Quilcene, a caretaker reported a possible burglary.
The caller said someone had apparently tried to break into a cabin, and a board was missing from the cabin door.
A deputy responded and was unable to determine if a crime had occurred.
At 11:09 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 in Quilcene, a possible burglar was reported.
A deputy went to the scene and discovered the person was just a neighbor who was walking a dog.
At 1:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 in Brinnon, a resident said a neighbor’s home appeared to have been burglarized.
One of the owners of the residence had passed away and the caller said no one had been seen on the property in some time.
A lock to a shed was found cut.
A deputy responded and found the lock had not been freshly cut; it was covered with a substantial amount of rust.
Nothing appeared to be missing.
At 8:04 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27 in Chimacum, a deputy made a criminal traffic stop near the school. A driver was cited for speeding in a school zone, and also had a suspended license.
At 8:39 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27 in Port Hadlock, a woman was making homicidal statements with threats to kill her daughter.
The woman said she would shoot her daughter.
A deputy contacted the woman, who stated she was upset because of financial debt because her daughter had quit making payments on a vehicle.
She said her comments were made out of frustration. The woman also had mobility issues.
On the threats, the woman said she wanted to do that to her daughter but has no intention or means to do it.
