Jefferson Healthcare Foundation and Jefferson Community Foundation have announced establishment of the Jefferson Healthcare Foundation Fund, designated to expand efforts to foster community well-being.
The public is invited to donate to support Healthcare Foundation activities such as the purchase of a linear accelerator (LINAC) machine for cancer radiation therapy, women’s healthcare, and other emerging needs as determined by Jefferson Healthcare physicians and administrators.
In addition to managing the designated fund, the Community Foundation is providing donor processing services to Jefferson Healthcare Foundation which will help build its capacity while it focuses on its mission to fund vital equipment and services for Jefferson Healthcare.
Siobhan Canty, President and CEO of Jefferson Community Foundation, said, “This is the first and only Fund held at Jefferson Community Foundation designated specifically to local healthcare. Every day, the Community Foundation is working to build an efficient and high-impact landscape of nonprofits and this is a great example of meeting that goal.”
