We are voting for Heidi because she is a creative and innovative problem-solver who gets the work done.
We have known Heidi for the last 10 years and have been impressed with her the entire time. She is deeply committed to preserving a vital rural economy here in Jefferson County through affordable housing, a vibrant local food system, and improving broadband service. As the primary breadwinner for her family for many years, Heidi understands the needs and stresses of working families here in Jefferson County. She even commuted by bus and ferry to Seattle for her work.
As we’ve watched Heidi work in the community, we have appreciated her creative problem-solving and ability to bring people together who may disagree on 98 percent of issues but can work together on the 2 percent they agree on. She is also a master at leveraging private and public funding to solve problems and make things better.
We are particularly impressed with her building the collaboration that recycles derelict boats and nets into useful products. That took several years of gathering information, recruiting industrial partners and the Washington Department of Natural Resources’ Derelict Vessel Removal Program to work on the issue. Together, they got a pilot project approved by the state Legislature.
As part of the leadership team of the Maritime Center, Heidi has experience managing a multimillion dollar budget with many employees.
Her emphasis during the pandemic crisis has been protecting her employees as much as possible and the virtual Wooden Boat Festival, spearheaded by Heidi, was a huge success.
Heidi is the kind of leader we need in Jefferson County. Join us in voting for Heidi Eisenhour for County Commissioner, District 2.
