Eight players with the Discovery Bay Women’s Golf Club teed off for their weekly competition at the course with a game of “T’s and F’s” last week.
The way the game is tallied is that only hole numbers that begin with a “T” or an “F” are counted holes for scoring. With the game format, there are nine holes of out 18 which begin with those two letters.
The women teed off early at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 19 due to the spring weather.
The first-place winner for the game was Jodie Stone.
Wanda Synnestvedt took silver and tied for third place were Jane Guiltinan and Jane Peoples.
For the remainder of the season, the golfers will gather at 8:30 a.m. and tee off at 9. The women’s golf club welcomes new players on any Thursday to join them for a round.
