Cultural Futures tour coming to Fort Worden

Posted

Inspire Washington’s Cultural Futures share-and-listen tour is coming to Centrum at Fort Worden in Port Townsend at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19.

Inspire Washington is the state-wide advocacy organization for the Washington cultural sector, promoting science, heritage, and arts programming.

With $50 million advocated for cultural businesses across the state during the 2022 Legislative Session, Inspire Washington will explain the legislation that was passed to support cultural work.

Through the Department of Commerce, nonprofit and for-profit businesses with budgets less than $5 million will be able to apply for up to $75,000, and institutions with budgets more than $5 million will be able to apply for funding to cover costs related to COVID expenses.

Inspire Washington will share information about federal and state funding sources, new programs, and advocacy opportunities, as well as other input  for next year’s Legislative Session.
