Jefferson County property taxes come due in November

Posted

Jefferson County is reminding property owners that second installment property taxes are due soon.

Mailed payments must be postmarked, put in a drop box, or paid online by Monday, Nov. 1 to avoid penalty and interest charges.

Taxpayers who would like a receipt should include their email address to have a receipt emailed to them, or they must include a self-addressed stamped envelope with their payment to receive a hard copy receipt mailed to them.

The Jefferson County Treasurer’s Office recommends taxpayers pay by drop box, mail, or online, but the office will accept in-person payments.

The office, located on the first floor of the Jefferson County Courthouse, is open for walk-in customers from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Property tax statements were mailed in February 2021. Payment amounts are available on the treasurer’s website at http://www.co.jefferson.wa.us/329/. Duplicate electronic statements may be requested by emailing the office at treasurerstaff@co.jefferson.wa.us.

Contact the Jefferson County Treasurer’s Office at 360-385-9150 or treasurerstaff@co.jefferson.wa.us with any questions.
