The Port Townsend City Council unanimously approved the reappointment of members from the Historic Preservation Committee for the chair and vice chair positions for the committee at the council’s meeting last week.
In a previous Jan. 4 meeting, the Historic Preservation Committee unanimously asked the council to reappoint Richard Berg as chair and Craig Britton as the vice-chair of the committee.
The position as chair, otherwise known as the presiding officer, is chosen by advisory board members of the Historic Preservation Committee each calendar year, where the decision to reappoint or select a new chair is decided among members of the board.
Both Berg (chair) and Britton (vice chair) will serve until January 2023.
