In celebration of the birthday of an American dance icon, the Madrona MindBody Institute is presenting a concert of rhythm tap dance, contemporary dance, performance art and live music.

This is a delayed celebration of Bill Evans’ pandemic-prolonged 80th and 81st birthdays. The combined celebration will happen on a modest scale at the Wheeler Theatre at Fort Worden. The event will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14.

The program will include performances from Bill Evans, Don Halquist, pianist/composer Linda Dowdell, fiber artist Judith Bird, lighting designer Kelly Doran, and dancers Falon Baltzell, Abbie Doll, Lauren Ehnebuske, Ashley Friend, Anna Hansen, Camille Hildebrandt and Adrienne Wilson.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
