Chimacum Cowboys lasso another win

Clayton Smith, wide receiver for the Chimacum Cowboys, plucks this ball out of the heavens to complete a forty yard pass in the third quarter. The Cowboys take the lead in the following play with another pass to Clayton Smith wide open in the endzone.

The Chimacum Cowboys varsity football team beat Silverdale’s Klahowya team at a home game on Sept. 27 with a score of 22 to 16. The win came after a loss in an away game versus LaConner on Sept. 20, when the Cowboys were beat 12 to 30. Their next game will take place at the Port Townsend Memorial Field at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 4. The Cowboys will face Tacoma’s Charles Wright team. The Port Townsend girls varsity soccer team lost their home game versus Kingston on Sept. 28 with a score of 5 to 3. Currently, the girls soccer team has lost all seven games they have played this season. Their next game will be an away game in Bremerton at 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 3.
