Buccaneers solid in play against EJ

Kingston collected a win in girls varsity tennis with a 5–2 victory against East Jefferson on the Chimacum courts Monday.

Sierra Denning of the Buccaneers beat EJ’s Maddie Hess in No. 1 singles, 7-6, 6-4.

EJ’s Juniper Cervenka topped Tess Eckert 6-4, 6-6 in No. 2 singles.

In No. 3 singles, East Jefferson also notched a win as Myka Briggs bested Jackie Coleman, 6-1, 6-0.

Kingston was commendable in doubles play and prevailed in all four matchups.

The duo of Elle Brockman and Bree Jorgensen won against EJ’s Sophia Arnovitz and Tiffany Bell, 6-1, 6-4 in No. 1 doubles.

Emily Ramirez and Tara Advani were the winners in No. 2 doubles against Olivia Mattern and Katie Clark, 6-3, 6-3.

In No. 3 doubles, Aubrey Black and Monique Desuza won 6-3, 6-3 over Sophia Frank and Lily Morrison.

Taliya Caldera and Kate McCabe picked up the win in No. 4 doubles against Savannah Gallaway and Caitlyn Boyd, 6-4, 6-3.
