The announcement was made at 8:45 a.m.
High school transportation was also canceled for the day.
The Brinnon School District closed school for a second day Wednesday following the snowstorm that hit Western Washington Monday night.
Quilcene schools reopened Wednesday morning.
In Port Townsend, students were not in class but it wasn't the weather: Winter Break started Dec. 21.
Winter Break for Chimacum students started Monday.
