The local Amnesty International Chapter, No. 1106, meets from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 at Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave.
Amnesty International works to defend human rights at home and abroad. Over 50 years after standing up for students imprisoned for defending freedom, Amnesty International is still successfully combating injustice and defending human dignity, according to a press release.
