We need a federal gun law that covers all states, rewrite the 2nd amendment and try what other countries do. The 2nd amendment isn't protecting anyone, it's just turning our country into a shooting gallery and our children are paying the price. Why should an 18 year old or a 97 year old need a gun that fires hundreds of bullets, lets start with ammunition, hand guns, background checks, mental health care. It shouldn't be up to teachers to protect our children, that should be our government's job. They write the laws and 90 percent of Americans think the gun laws should be stricter.
