Highway 19 was partially closed for four hours Saturday morning after a two-car collision near Oak Bay Road.

The crash happened just after 11:30 a.m. July 24 when two vehicles were heading south and the first vehicle pulled to the right shoulder and then made a U-turn in front of the following vehicle as it tried to pass, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Both vehicles came to rest in a private driveway south of Belfrage Road.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 36-year-old Port Hadlock man in a 2019 Dodge Durango, was not hurt in the collision.

The occupants of the second vehicle, a 2013 GMC Acadia, also escaped injury; the driver, a 42-year-old Port Townsend woman, and the passenger, a 64-year-old Port Townsend resident.

Both vehicles were damaged. The GMC was removed from the scene by All City Auto Body & Towing.
