The group, which was down to the last 20% of the trip, preferred to use a mix of real and trail names. From left to right, Delia “Scratchy,” Elliot “Beats” Pacheco, Timon, and Ben “Mash.” Scratchy and Timon had come from “the middle” of Switzerland, Mash from Bedford near London, and Pacheco from New Jersey.
